The Palme-Dewar 2010 short film competition is a an open competition for short films made either in Scotland or by film makers based in Scotland.
Supported by Scottish Screen, Heartland Film Society and Dewar’s World of Whisky the competition winner will receive a Palme-Dewar certificate, a bottle of single malt Aberfeldy whisky, an engraved decanter and £250 cash prize.
The Palme-Dewar short film competition is an integral part of the 2010 Heartland Film Society Film Festival. The Festival will take place over two days (Friday 12th and Saturday 13th November 2010) at Castle Menzies in Weem, near Aberfeldy in Perthshire. For more information about the Festival, visit the Heartland Film Society website where information about the Film Festival will be posted in due course. The six films shortlisted for this year’s Palme-Dewar will be shown at the Festival on the afternoon of Saturday 13th November at Dewar’s World of Whisky when the audience will vote for their favourite film. Registration for the competition is now open. If you want to submit a film you need to register your intention by 31 August 2010. Films must be sent to us by 30 September 2010 in DVD format. For more information about key dates and to download a registration form please click here.
