Palme-Dewar 2012 registration now closed
The Palme-Dewar short film competition is a an open competition for short films made either in Scotland or by film makers based in Scotland.
Supported by Heartland Film Society and Dewar’s World of Whisky, the competition winner will receive a Palme-Dewar certificate, a bottle of single malt Aberfeldy whisky, an engraved decanter and £250 cash prize.
The Palme-Dewar short film competition is an integral part of the Aberfeldy Film Festival. The Festival took take place over the weekend of 16-18th November 2012. The eight films shortlisted for this year’s Palme-Dewar were shown at the Festival late afternoon on Saturday 17th November at Dewar’s World of Whisky, Aberfeldy - when the audience along with the jury cast their votes before the winning film was announced. Registration for the 2012 competition is now closed - and we had 24 film entries which was very pleasing.
(the closing date for entries was 31 August 2012. All films entered had be less than 10 minutes long and made during the period September 2010 to September 2012.) All entries had to be in DVD format with the DVDs received by us no later than 30 September 2012. For more information about key dates please click here.
