The Palme-Dewar competition is organised as part of the annual Aberfeldy Film Festival by Heartland Film Society with the support of Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery.

  • Heartland Film Society holds a range of contact email addresses in the HFS Oscar email account.
  
SHORT FILM COMPETITIONS:
  • If you have been involved in or submitted films to the Palme-Dewar Short Film Competition or the Young Indies Short Film Competition, your contact details are also held on paper or digital Registration forms and in digital spreadsheets for the purposes of organising the competition events.
  • Contact details are held for five years unless we are expressly contacted to remove the details.

DATA SECURITY: 
  • All digital data files are held in secure, password protected accounts or computers.
  • Paper Registration forms are also held securely and are not shared.

SHARING INFORMATION:
  • Heartland Film Society does not pass contact information to any other organisations except for the purposes of running competition events.
  • For short-listed films in the Palme-Dewar Short Film Competition, film entrant’s name and film are shared with Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery for the competition event.
  • For films submitted to the Young Indies Short Film Competition, film entrant’s name and film may be shared with the competition jury for the purposes of short-listing the films, and are shared with The Birks Cinema for the competition event.
